Effective September 24, 2016 the HIBCC bar code used on most DJO Global products will be updated to reflect a new GTIN bar code. The goal is to ensure devices are adequately identified in a uniform system using Unique Device Identifiers (UDI’s) to meet FDA requirements. The UDI will follow the same format as the HIBCC and will include a human and machine readable format.
