Date

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 26, 2005--dj Orthopedics, Inc., (NYSE:DJO), a global medical device company specializing in rehabilitation and regeneration products for the non-operative orthopedic and spine markets, today announced a sponsorship agreement with the Justin Sportsmedicine Team, the official medical provider to The Professional Rodeo
Cowboys Association. As part of the agreement, dj Orthopedics will provide the Justin Sportsmedicine Team, and the over 7,000 athletes they represent who compete in 12 rodeo circuits nationwide, with the complete line of DonJoy rigid and soft bracing products.

"We are pleased to be bracing some of the toughest athletes in the world", said Les Cross, CEO of dj Orthopedics. "We look forward to establishing a long term relationship with the Justin Sportsmedicine Team, and the professional cowboys they serve", he added. "With the breadth of our product offering, we will provide products for anything from a wrist sprain to a torn ACL. We also look forward to working with the athletes to design new products to meet their specific bracing needs."

"We are excited to have dj Orthopedics as an official medical supplier to the Justin Sportsmedicine Team," said Don Andrews, Executive Director of the Justin Boot Company Sportsmedicine Program. "Our team treats over 6,000 rodeo related injuries per year and we are excited to have DonJoy products in our training rooms and mobile sportsmedicine centers. dj Orthopedics is known for their high quality DonJoy products and we see it as a great opportunity to partner with the market leader."

About Justin Sportsmedicine Team: The Justin Sportsmedicine Team was the idea of Don Andrews and J. Pat Evans, MD, (Team Physician for the Dallas Cowboys) who were asked by the PRCA to cover the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (the Super Bowl of Rodeo) in 1980. The service was an immediate hit with these extreme sport athletes (rodeo is the original extreme sport - circa the 1880's) at this most demanding rodeo event. The Justin Boot Company of Fort Worth, Texas was contacted and agreed to underwrite the entire cost of the program so economics would never be a deterrent for the cowboys and cowgirls to seek quality medical care. Justin Boots and the PRCA also fund and administer the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund which provides need based financial assistance to rodeo athletes who are injured in the competition arena in this most grueling and dangerous professional sport.
