(NYSE: DJO), a global medical device company specializing in rehabilitation and regeneration products for the non-operative orthopedic and spine markets, today announced that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has completed its antitrust review of dj Orthopedics' planned acquisition of Aircast
Incorporated and will permit the transaction to go forward. On February 27, 2006, dj Orthopedics announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to purchase Aircast Incorporated from its stockholders, including majority owner Tailwind Capital, for approximately $290 million in cash. With the FTC review complete, the Company said it expects the transaction to close in the
near future, subject to certain other customary closing conditions.
