BIOLOX®deltaceramic, femoral heads provide another exciting addition to DJO Surgical's hip implant product line. This novel material technology allows for the production of femoral heads that have approximately 50% less wear compared to cobalt chrome femoral heads of the same size and are more resistant to fracture, chipping and cracking. These large diameter heads provide a greater range of motion, increased jump distance and significantly reduce the incidence of dislocation. A wide range of new head of diameters will be available to provide the perfect complement to DJO Surgical's low wear X-alt highly crosslinked polyethylene acetabular liners. DJO Surgical will be the first U.S. orthopedic implant company to offer a 44 mm BIOLOX delta ceramic head.
3DKnee™and Foundation®Kneesystems will be available in 2mm increments, allowing the implant to be sized to the patient for increased intra-operative flexibility.
