Welcome to the September edition of Team Huddle.
It is our hope that you are finding this monthly publication a helpful way to communicate with you, by giving you visibility to new product releases, training opportunities, clinical data and many other topics of interest.
Let me also express how excited I am to be a part of the DJO Bracing organization. This company has built a strong market leading position and stellar reputation over the last 40 years by developing high-quality, motion-enabling products that make a difference to patients, and delivering dependable, exceptional service. We do that by effectively marketing innovative solutions that add value for all stakeholders. We do that by weathering the inevitable challenges of healthcare and emerging in a stronger position. We do that by keeping true to our core values, and striving to be the best. We do that by partnering with a well-trained, high performance sales team.
From a business perspective, you know by now that we finished Q2 on a high-note, leaving everyone looking forward to the second half of the year. While July and August were not as strong, we remain optimistic that we can produce an extraordinary September. My ask would be to dig deep and do everything possible to deliver a superb September. And, let’s demonstrate our ability to create new markets as we introduce the innovative X4 Smart Brace technology.

DJO GO
We are excited to launch a great new sales tool for you called DJO Go! This tool is designed to save you time and enhance your effectiveness by providing immediate access to the latest sales assets across all our BAS product lines. Moving forward this app will be our central information repository and a one-stop-shop for all of our marketing and sales support resources in one, easy to access location.
If you have access to the app, you have receive an email from our technology partner, Modus with your login credentials. The email will come from customersuccess@gomodus.com.
We have hosted two 15 minute webinars to show you a few tricks and tips. Those who have used the app feel it is a great tool, a real game changer. Find out for yourself!
MotionMD Update
MotionMD® is excited to announce the official launch of our newest system feature, Benefits Verification, in our DJO staffed OfficeCare accounts. In addition to providing real-time patient specific benefits, our Field Service Representatives (FSR) are now able to provide our OfficeCare patients with their financial responsibility based on their Insurance Plan, Deductibles, Max Out of Pocket, and/or Co-Insurance. Patients can then make a secure credit card payment directly within MotionMD, receiving an email or printed receipt.
Since launching July 16, 2018, 17 DJO staffed OfficeCare accounts are now utilizing MotionMD Benefits Verification on a daily basis. Each week, an additional five DJO staffed OfficeCare accounts are trained on Benefits Verification. Feedback from the FSR’s within the first 17 OfficeCare accounts is extremely positive.
In the era of high deductible plans, the ability to educate patients on their insurance benefits and financial responsibility provides an unmatched and elevated level of customer service. Additionally, Benefits Verification has a tremendously positive impact on collections and operational billing efficiencies for OfficeCare and DJO as a whole. While the initial rollout of Benefits Verification is occurring within DJO staffed OfficeCare accounts, the tool will also be available in DP staffed and non-staffed OfficeCare accounts in the near future.
