Design Rationale

Competitor four-legged bone staples feature a flat bridge that fails to generate compression, leaving compression solely reliant on the legs' recovery. The narrower legs exacerbate stress concentrations at the staple's weakest junctures when subjected to bending forces, heightening the risk of implant failure once the patient initiates weight-bearing activities. Peer-reviewed studies have documented instances of these competitor staples breaking in as many as 11% of patients.¹

In contrast, the DynaClip Forte’s patented 4-leg design features a broad, low-profile bridge that distributes stresses across the bridge away from the legs (see image to right), and allows for compression to be generated through the bridge.
